After doing some research, hiding the taskbar seems to fix it, I just made a really simple C# app to test it. hWnd = FindWindow("Shell_TrayWnd", ""); ShowWindow(hWnd, SW_HIDE); Of course it needs to be shown again after playing :P Admittedly, this is more of a workaround than a fix but it does work …

Dege, you rock! dgVoodoo1.5 works great with carmageddon on Vista :D A very minor issue is that any part of the taskbar which updates (e.g if a tray icon changes) shows through carmageddon in dgv when carmageddon is in a video or menu, but this is incredibly minor and not really a problem :) Though …

I tried it before and got an error about VDDLoader.exe cannot be found. I managed to get it to find it by copying the DLL to c:\windows\system32 but you're right. the game I was trying to run with it wont run at all.

Is there any way to get dgVoodoo to work on Vista? I want to play carmageddon 3dfx on Vista.. but vista wont let DOS games go fullscreen. DGVoodoo runs under windows so the renderer is fullscreen not the DOS game. Is this possible? Or is there a way to use the DGVoodoo files in DosBox?

Ok, anything above 15ms and it does become shaky when going up hills, turning etc. It exists even on 1ms. Just the lower the value the less noticeable it is. The game does run a little fast though. Hmm, I just downloaded dgVoodoo 1.40+ but whever I run dgvoodoosetup it brings a "send error report" screen. the error is in "user32.dll" according to the details thing. Any idea what's wrong?

Have you tried Carma95.exe -hires? That's always worked wonderfully for me. It's how i've played carma since I discovered you could run it at better resolutions with a glide weapper.
