CGA CRTC only lets you scroll a word at a time, so it jumps 8 pixels in 320x200 mode. Overcoming that somehow was part of the challenge I envisioned when I thought about porting it 😀 My son enjoyed playing the game for a couple of minutes, he also asked about an endless mode.

Yes, but a massive undertaking. The code isn't directly portable; the C64 port is really a remake, and it's amazing, but took 2+ years or something. I haven't got the time 😒

Tested modml v16 this weekend. As SB16 is added, I can try 16 Bit mixing. It can be Great for 286. On XT, I believe that 8Bit with higher frequency will still be better. It depends... 16-bit mixing will have a lower noise floor and less distortion, but 8-bit mixing allows higher frequency. So it depends on the speed of the …

I had a chance to test v12. So far it works well, some S3M files load more samples because of your space packing techniques. The Tandy 1000 EX is a 7.16 MHz 8088 whereas the 1640 is an 8MHz 8086.
