The colors in the menus are indeed wrong for me as well, but isn't this a known issue? I recall a post about it from a few months back... The game itself plays fine with correct colors, so I guess the menu screen isn't much of a big deal...

I actually played Darkseed all the way through a few months back all the way to end... I don't recall any problems with the game at all (though it was a localized version, probably 1.2 or something...)

I think it didn't even work my old machine, I recall always using Thunderbird for audio on LSL6, so try that as well...

Mine works fine directly after install... no patch (?) needed... Perhaps ripped version was ripped from older release? No clue... still, not a DosBOX issue...

Game itself worked fine for me on max cycles, no stuttering (or at least nothing I can recall), then again I have a rather high end system (Conroe E6600, I had dosbox in mind when I got it, and boy do those DOS games run fine :) ) I guess it's ironic how, in the end, you need a high end system to …

Use the search function: Microcosm You can play the game by installing real DOS on a Virtual PC from Microsoft (I do believe the 2007 is also a free download as 2004 was).

Hmmm, Strike Squad also does this, the mouse sometimes vanishes on 0.70 (it's not playable at all on 0.65), but playing with the cycles setting I fixed it (apparently the mouse blinking is related to cycles chosen...) The solution would probably be to play with the cycles in order to get a "stable" …

Hmmm, even with your config I still get some graphical glitches on the game intro. Nothing major though, the text is still readable and the game itself seems to play fine...

If you want it all done by a batch file, read up on IMGMOUNT, it's a dosbox command to mount CD images (and you can mount several in one go and easily switch between them (also with CTRL-F4 if my memory serves me right)) Info should be in the readme

Googling can also help. This was a shareware game that was made freeware by the designers, it doesn't come on a CD, just shove the directory on a mounted C: drive in dosbox and run Aleshar.exe. There are some graphical issues, but other than that game runs fine at 12,000 cycles. And I'm not smart, …

Here's a thought... Maybe it's not a CD so you don't need to mount a CD drive? From the word "downloaded" I can safely make the assumption that if the game did come on a CD, it was probably ripped, and thus you should probably go to the Abandonia forums and ask them on how they got it to run.

to mount CD2, mount it in Daemon and then press CTRL+F4 in dosbox (should refresh)
