It adds a border to Flashback, but it is not how the game should look - the result is that you don't see the whole picture.

make sure your audio configuration in windows is set to the same level for every thing (cd audio, wave....) In xwing you can only set the volume level for sound and music, you cannot to engine and i guess to speech (haven't checked speech). So just set Sound and Music to max and it will be the same …

have you tried it yourself? 😉 just install dosbox change these two options and watch the result - small screen in the middle (same goes to the option recommended by el_pusher) 😉 (and btw it is "x" not ",")

it should be "auto" not "default" # tandy -- Turning on/off Tandy sound emulation: auto, on, off. # On auto the mode is determined by machine type.

Sounds like a brilliant idea. If desktop resolution is working (obviously), DOSBox should setup that resolution by default (as safe-mode so to say), leaving you the option of changing it when you like (by editting dosbox.conf of course). this options was always available in DosBox: fullfixed=true …

You answare yes to extended memory. ems is not extended memory. I remember that dune 2 doesn't detect extended memory if you have 32MB or more (the result is that there are no digital sounds). (dosbox's default mem=16 is not without a reason) I suppose setup will also freeze with a real pc not …
