Let's imagine such a situation. A person has a real sb1 (or sb1,5/sb2 with cms chips) and he wants to play some game. And he has conflicts. It's just hard to believe that any game company wouldn't make their game compatible with older sound blasters. Actually most games allowes to choose sound card …

dosbox works exactly as you described: if you select type=sb1 you habe both cms and opl2 😀

I think this would be the best solution: # tandy -- Enable Tandy 3-Voice emulation: auto,on,off. # On auto the mode is determined by machine type. auto as default

the last card by nVidia that had win3.1 drivers was rivatnt2 i think. I don't know what was the last card by ati. You can always unplag your modern card and plug old one :) I think the same with sound card (at least i can cause i still have one ISA slot :) (I don't know whether there were any win3.1 …

SiyMan: just wondering why cannot you run win3.11 on your athlon. I have duron and i can run DOS and i also have installed win3.1 on it (i also have win98 and winxp) EDIT: I guess cause of no sound & video drivers 😉

i guess you don't have any subfolders in tie fighter directory - this means your game is broken.

When i press Ctrl-F1 dosbox crushes(disappears). I can only enter mapper by -startmapper. This problem is caused by sdl.dll version (older versions of sdl work ok).

have you mounted the cd properly (with -ioctl)?
