Hey everybody~ Plz help me with this.

I have been trying for 3 days to run a dos/95 game and it wouldn't giving me cd rom access errors and other errors, any way I found VDMSound and used it and made some progress, now the game runs but::

1)Freezes after 2-5 seconds (possibly related to sound because sometimes the sound gets an echo after the game freezes and keeps going forever)

2)the text is usually out of its supposed place (for example when a button in the game GUI is suppoesd to say [SAFE/ARM] i only see a shadow of the text and the real text is floating somewhere over or beside the area!! I never saw this before!!)

The Game is Fast Attack (Sierra) and the system:

>Intel P4 2.0
>512 MB RAM
>Win XP Pro SP1
>Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 440 AGP 8x with 128 MB
>40 MB Hard Disk
>50X CDROM Drive

Vedio: nVidia GeForce 4 440 MX with AGP 8x 128 MB

Sound: Creative Sound Blaster / or Compatible

The text is due to your video card and there is probably no way around that short of using vmware/dosbox/etc.

For the sound you may want to try CLI2NOP (if and only if you are running under Win2k) - search the forum for CLI2NOP. No guarantees there, though. Sorry, not much help, but nobody else seems to have had the game and/or written about it.

Fast Attack had some bugs involving sound, like stuttering and locks when you launch tomahawk in ripple. There's a patch that solves most errors. Try patching Fast Attack first.
