hello,im trying to get a sidewinder to play with launhpad without success...i only get the 2 of the 8 buttons!
I dont need 8,just 6 of them but i cant help it!
Can someone give me a profile for vdmsound(like the ones it has already) or some advice on what to change so that it can play smoothly?

Athlon Xp 1600+ with 256 DDR, on winXP pro with SP1,2 soundcards( SB Live 1024 and Audigy1), sidewinder game pad currently fixed on the port Audigy offers.It's not a USB one!
Mobo Elite Ks75A,hd Seagate Barracuda 40gb.
Windows have their native drivers for the pad and its working finely on new games(Blood Omen 2 f.example).
Can u plz state again how to check my controllers cpl,to know if the pad's set in ID#0??
Any other suggestions/modifications i should make so that i can use 6 buttons and the cross?

Go to Start> Settings> Control Panel> Gaming Options.
Actually it's ID#1 (there's no ID#0).
If it wasn't a Microsoft controller I would tell you to go download official manufacturer drivers but, well, Microsoft IS the official manufacturer. And I was counting in HEX, so there. 😜
