It may be a dumb question but is it ok to install 2.10 on a 2000 system?
According to the beginners guide it seems so.

The reason i ask is that 2.10 totally killed my system. I can't even boot up in safe mode, i don't know if it just is a coincidence.

Does VDMSound cause any major changes to any system files or installs any kind of service or driver that can be removed?

Before installing i had 2.04 which worked fine. I then just installed 2.10 over it and choosed reboot after the installation and
the computer never started again.

Windows 2000 is NT5, not NT4. There's a known compatibility issue with the MSVCRT.DLL that is included with the VDMSound distro and Windows NT4, and that's why it is posted in big red letters on the download post to NOT USE IT ON NT4. 😀

Yes, it’s my fault.

It's proibably just a coincidence. No drivers are included, nothing starts up along with the system. How does your system behave, blue-screen?
