I have tried versions before and after 1.19.1 on my i810 chipset, but they all have 1 or 2 problems. the main problem is the lack of darkened background image when pausing to bring up the inventory wheel in TR (blank background), and broken, unreadable text in the inventory and main / sub menus. This particular version works nearly perfectly. Question: is there a way to download archived installers for past versions? I have it backed up, but was thinking there may be a version I missed that might work even better. OS is Win98SE. Used GLSetup BIG exe file for OpenGL drivers (not web client setup, it didn't seem to be able to connect - still supported?).
Just wanted to say to Paul if he reads this - awsome work! I like to play the levels over again when I'm bored (all TR games) to see how quickly and flawlessly I can run through them, but I find myself pausing now to enjoy the scenery in TR1 all over again.

What seems to work for a lot of people when they get these transparency problems is to use the most recent version of Glidos, but replace the file Glide2x.dll with the one from the "Red Baron" page of the web site. That dll supports older versions of OpenGL.

Ummm.. to clarify the last post - High res textures show brown, normal res do not. This happens even when just pressing F4 to toggle between the modes. (See attached screenshot croppings).

Aagh! Yes of course: that version doesn't support 16bit chromakeying.

Matthew and I are working on a whole lot of new stuff for texture override, and the next release wont need 16bit chromakeying. If you don't mind waiting a little bit...

Sorry about that.
