There was better Starcraft resolution hack, but it seems gone now. Only Google cache site remains:

Edit:
Here is the new working link:
Also there is some new hack, I haven't tested it yet:
I found Resolution Expander v5.0

Nice find, thanks!
resolution expander = fail, mc bane's = win

my website
It was written for an older version of StarCraft. Looking around it seems like Blizzard will make a trivial update so that such hacks won't work anymore.
The resolution hacks mention support for the current StarCraft version: 1.16.1. I see that this update was released januari 2009.
Only 'Resolution Expander 5.1' works for my Win2K system. Mc Bane's program crashes the game every time. Neither of them work on Win9X.
Unfortunately the Res Exp 5.1 also crashes the game when I start a new custom scenario, so I have to start+save the game without the hack first, then load the game with the hack. But it is worth it as the default 640x480 resolution is really the most aging factor of the game.

Are you saying you have 5.1? If so post it. The one I linked to was 5.0.
Miki Maus updated his post to link to version 5.1, it is the second post of this topic.

1. You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again.
2. You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
Why do I have to join every damn site I have no intention of using again?
That's what bugmenot is for hehe
