Does it still screw up subdirectories?

This one never screwed up on subdirectories.
The other one is actually a commodore 64 frontend....

This frontend is this thread doesn't support the loading of zip files so. the subdir issue doesn't apply. Although it would be something to be aware off if a frontend would ever support it.

Ok, I missed the GameBase reference. I was only aware of the existance of doboxfro previously.

How bewildering....no wonder it didn't work properly.

...ungh... I'd rather setup a batch script and have it run by clicking on an icon.

Nice shoot. I'm new to dosbox, and it helped me a lot.

But I found a bug, and a thing it lacks :

1.- When you try to load a game from a long folder, containing spaces in the name, it doesn't load at all. You could bypass the issue adding double quote (") at the begining and the ending of each instruction.

2.- Renaming the project's title would be nice !

Oh, I'm almost sure the "dir from dosbox" option doesn't work, but I haven't tested it enough to be certain.

Thanks for your work !

Somebody (name unimportant) once posted a problem with dosbox. The reason he was having this problem was that he was using a frontend for a C64 emulator as frontend for dosbox. As this C64 wasn't aware af the nature of dosbox it didn't worked allright. Nicht Sehr Gut thought that it as this frontend he was using. (which wasn't the case)

The C64 frontend has support for zipfiles( that was the problem)

The idea is that the frontend unzips the game. starts the emulator with the newly unzipped game as startup thing. This works allright under a C64 but not under dosbox as dosbox creates new files/changes files.

I just said that if a frontend for dosbox (A real one like yours) is ever going to support the zipping and the unzipping of games (and play them) The frontend should be aware of the fact that dosbox creates/modifies files/directories.

Water flows down the stream
How to ask questions the smart way!

The DosBox download page at http://dosbox.sf.net/
still links to the old (0.45) DoBoxFro version vs. the new 0.50.

How does it work? Does it open the .exe or .com programs, like the DodGE emulator?
Thanks.
