The modding scene for this game is super tiny, so I don't think fragmentation of hosting - especially of individual deprecated versions- does it any good

But at least that way, users might play the new tracks and get acquainted with the editor. But maybe you'd provide a more recent DOS version? Can youu post it as an attachment here?

The editor was hosted free of charge at tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com from 2018 up until two weeks ago and continues being maintained despite zero known users and zero user feedback. The hosting will resume at a later time.

If you're asking yourself what you could do to help - get a hold of the editor's browser version at https://github.com/leikareipa/rallysported-js, set it up locally, make some tracks with it, star the repo on GitHub, and post an issue or two there based on your experiences in using the thing.

The browser version of RallySportED is again up at https://www.tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com/rallysported/.

A user guide is at https://www.tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com/rallysported/user-guide/.

A temporary host for the DOS binaries (including the loader required to play modded tracks) is at https://github.com/leikareipa/rallysported/releases/.

Engaging with the project's GitHub repos is contributing. Post your issues there, etc.

Versions web-beta.5 through web-beta.8-dev introduce the following, among other things:
- Full undo/redo
- Texture editing
- UI changes + more interactivity
- App is now 100% client-based
- Drag moves camera on touch screens (screens smaller than tablet size aren't supported; the GUI doesn't support touch controls)

The Rally-Sport Content service is now up. It contains downloadable tracks made by me. Technically it's a service for anybody to register and upload new tracks, but due to EU copyright and so on, I'm not taking new registrations for now. I've made the service open source though, so in theory someone might host it free for all.

https://tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com/rallysport-content/

Rally-Sport Content supports live-previewing tracks in the browser: e.g. https://tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com/rallysport-con … ack.rn3-9u7-s7t, a track I made some years ago, opens in the browser, https://tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com/rallysported/? … ack.rn3-9u7-s7t.

The service also provides a REST API to query track data, which is lightly documented in the project's GitHub.

Developments over the last month or two bring numerous UI improvements, some performance boosts, and WebRTC streaming. So now you can easily share your WIP tracks with your friends via direct browser-to-browser WebRTC data transfer. The Rally-Sport Content service also got a face lift.

Also made the first new track in three years, https://tarpeeksihyvaesoft.com/rallysport-con … ack.rsh-f28-9sj. My lap record is 10.53, girlfriend who has no interest in Rally-Sport got 22.98.
