Today my very first computer turns 27 and I turn 37 😀

I still remember that I couldn't sleep knowing my parents were going to give me my first computer.

It was upgraded all over the years till I got my Pentium II 300.

The original CPU, AMD 486SX2 66mhz

The Intel overdrive DX4ODPR100

And finally an Evergreen 5x86 133mhz

Kawl. I had a CDS 524 for a long time until the onboard ram went tits up.

I think the onboard ram is disabled if you have max it to 64mb ram. Did you try it?

I did have 64megs in it.

It wouldn't allow me the install any true 32-bit OSs like NT, Linux or OS/3 v3. I had Mandrake 6.0 on it for about 6 years before it went poof ! At first I thought it was the hdd that had so tried a few others without any luck. Later I was getting odd ram counts on start up, then only one bonk would work. It's now in that big PC grave yard in the sky literally. I incinerated it and smoked a few of the neighbors out.

That's cool, Wanted to do something special for my 1st PC last year when it turned 25. (my own 25th was many years ago)
Seems the PC had other ideas and the unsocketed Dallas RTC finally died.
It'll have to wait till I have more spare time and soldering skills before it lives again now.

Happy birthday to you both. I still wish I had my very first PC but sadly it was sold off years ago.
