Oh you bet yah!
But those cards are awfully expensive on ebay.
Feel free to donate 😉
I have the original ATI, S3, 3dfx and Matrox versions though. Would like to get my hands on the original PowerVR edition too.

Builds:

Xp3000+ gf3 ti200 + vd2 SLI 12MB + 768MB + SB live @ WinXP & 98 Dualboot.

P2 350mhz + Diamond Viper V550 + 3Dfx Voodoo 2 12MB + AWE64 + 128MB SDR @ msdos / win98.

that is such a great set up, i mean the specs the appearance, the games - it makes me miss this era!

I had a P2 233 and a P2 266 once, scrappy old computers given to me a few years after the P2 era and used a bit but and long gone now

This is my quite poorly organized setup - the computers range from Pentium III to Ivy Bridge i5.

Unfortunately, I might have to replace the CRT monitor with an LCD at some point, because the CRT has a very annoying issue where it turns itself off at random times.
setup2.png

I'll bite what's hiding in the pringles box?

Ah - glad someone noticed that lol. That's a 2004-ish Socket 754 machine. It's in a Pringles box because I don't own any spare cases.
Sempron 3100+, 1GB RAM, MSI MS-7142 motherboard, and some fairly junky PSU I got out of a dead Pentium 4 Sony Vaio desktop.

Although nothing particularly special, I think the Pentium 2 is a great processor. The whole era of hardware and software that surrounded it never gave me any trouble or surprises. It's especially great with NT.

At one point, I'll have to make space for a retro rig desk somewhere in there..

Could be my apartment, same carpet, same window blinds, etc. All these same gray/white/[random-bright-color] apartments are popping up all over Aus the last few years.

And yes, you need more retro 😀

It's a townhouse but yes, modern prison style architecture, unfortunately.
Have two projects coming up, the retro station and a software based HAM radio. Just need a desk to put these on.

Miss the Monkey Island days, the Space Quest days, even The Longest Journey days.

This is my "pseudo-retro" PC, setup and workplace. All it needs in order to be perfect is a good old CRT (and probably an RCA to VGA converter (if such a thing exists) for the consoles).
On top of the VHS/DVD player, on the left there's an original Sega Genesis 2, on the right there's a chinese clone based on a RedKid 2500 SoC; each with a flashcart, so I can test my own game's compatibility (btw, I have also installed MS-DOS, and I'm making sure it works in the old emulators 😉 ).

Obviously in the middle of something, no idea what. 😂 Think I see a P2-350 CPU and something on a slocket on the bed...

That looks just like my room looked like at that same time period.

Hardware looks a little different (less CRT's and beige) but my room still looks like this 😉

Here's another picture of my janky setup (I'm pretty sure I posted one before) , excuse the rats nest of wires.

Finally I've got everything up and running.

Some changes:
Amiga 500 now has a expansion lid with compact flash slot that a mate of mine printed.
Got a monitor stand for the CM8833 Mk2 and upgraded the Trinitron G420 to a G500.
And got a handy 3d printed usb holder courtesy of the same mate which saved some desk space.
Its a bit of nightmare trying to cram multiple things onto one desk , but I think I'm pretty happy with it.

Oooh that Microsoft Sidewinder 3d Pro 🤤 (in front of a rather silly amount of MIDI boxes!) - I recently bought a modern Logitech joystick to play the modern Descent remakes and... damn, nothing has ever felt as right for Descent to me as that old MS joystick.

Edit: found mine in the pic I posted above! 😂

Yeah it is , its a pretty great joystick and works well in DOS , would be cool if you could get it working with your modern pc , I've read somewhere that you need an adaptor to do that but that its possible.

My year 1998-2004 home lab.

We were in the Development region of Silicon Valley where we first had High speed cable modems.
When it first rolled out there was NO to little network security. You could go on Microsoft Network neighborhood and see all the computers in your neighborhood,
Share printers, and drives.
It was very unsecure.
Today its much better with pretty good network security.
