Hey there,

I'm a new user (although i've come accross this site many times over the years for information/specs), and I'm currently in the retro computer mood so I decided to finally register. 😊

Today, I just put together a computer of these specs:

TMC TI5VG+ 😀
AMD K6, 233mhz 😒
32MB EDO SIMM ram @ 60ns 😠
SiS 6326 AGP 😢
Avance ALS100 😐
3Com 3c509B-C 😎
Win98SE 😎

I have A LOT of hardware, mostly ISA but I have several older AGP cards, but also varients of the (S)Socket 7 CPU's, and basically I want to make up a database for myself(it can be public if wanted) of benchmarks, so that when I assemble the hardware, they compliment each other as well as being era related.

What is a good Windows 9x compatable (I will put win95(2) on this machine in time), free (or something) benchmark programme that can measure all aspects of the system in a concise and relatable figure that I can easily compare? 😀 😀

Thank you in advance.

For DOS check this thread
VOGONS Benchmark archive?

For Windows I find these useful.

A pretty good benchmark for general usage at a Windows desktop is PC WinBench 99. It's not as relevant for games, but it does test 2D DirectDraw at least.
I don't know if it's available on the web.
