Hello! First time poster here! Long time computer hardware geek though, and can be caught messing around with anything and everything from the latest stuff to XT class hardware and even 8-bit macines (as in Commodore, Atari etc.) 😀

Thought I'd start off by posting a couple of my builds that happen to reside in Antec cases. I'm pretty satisfied with these hardware-wise, and I really like the cases as well. Well built and easy to work with IMO.

First one:

PII_Front_zpsf5df0e0f.jpgPII_Back_zps3509e908.jpg
PII_Inside_zps36752fd3.jpg

Antec Performance Plus AMG (PLUS660AMG) Case
MSI MS-6117 Mobo (i440LX)
Pentium II 333MHz CPU
768MB SDRAM
Ati Rage 2MB AGP Card (Don't remember exact model)
Promise Fasttrak S150 TX4 PCI SATA RAID Controller
2x D-Link DGE-528T 10/100/1000 PCI NIC
1x SMC Elite16 Ultra 10Mbps ISA NIC (10Base2 Connector)
Noname USB 2.0 PCI Card (NEC Chipset. Excellent stuff)
1x 80GB 2.5" SATA HDD
2x 120GB 2.5" SATA HDD (RAID1)
DVD-RW Drive
Scythe Fan Controller
Windows 2000 Advanced Server

This has once been my file server for a number of years (first OpenBSD, then Debian and finally W2K "just because I could") and it's always been rock solid. Managed to push 10MB/s copying files from it to my main system over gigabit ethernet (in W2K). Not bad for the hardware, but not much by today's standards...

Second:

Athlon_Front_zps1889007b.jpgAthlon_Back_zps72999f17.jpg
Athlon_Inside_zps558c180c.jpg

Antec TX640B Case
Abit KW7 Mobo (VIA KT880)
Athlon XP 3000+ CPU
2GB DDR400 (4x 512MB)
Realtek RTL8139D 10/100 PCI NIC
Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB AGP Card (Zalman VF700-Cu cooler)
Western Digital Blue 640GB SATA II Drive (running in SATA I mode)
Bluray Drive
Scythe Fan Controller, Noctua fans.
Windows XP SP3

This is actually my latest creation. I had a similar system about 10 years ago (the first computer I ever built from brand new parts) and I kinda wanted to "rebuild" it for nostalgia's sake. The Graphics card is the very same one I had 10 years ago. Scores slightly under 14000 points in 3DMark2001, which is about 1000 points more than I had "back then". Well, close enough... 😀

Well, that's two machines for starters! I do have quite a few other systems in my collection though, so there may be more to come 😉

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Both builds are nice and clean. I also had a Win2k file server as really you don't need much else for home and its not resource hungry.

Nice rigs! I have a beige Antec very similar to your Performance Plus AMG, and it's a hell of a case (Performance II SX630II). Antec design is really top notch. Quiet, sturdy, stylish, and easy to work on.

Up to your old Antecs again I see. 😜

🤣

Also, I had that same Scythe fan controller in my main rig a few years ago. Cheap but pretty effective.

That one vintage computer enthusiast brony.
