I have given up on the PS2 port for now, ill try to find a 5pin USB header later 🤣

Something I noticed when gaming in Windows 98 is that my USB mice are smoother. Now this could be just a case of me not having a decent PS/2 gaming mouse. Tried various USB mice through USB to PS/2 adapter. But a Logitech MX518 for example is a great Windows 98 gaming mouse 😀

🤣 right now all I've got are basic mice.

Whats the best TNT2 driver, it does need 3dnow optimizations of course 🤣

I wouldn't know, but I recommend getting a period correct driver. Check old benchmarks / video card reviews, they often talk about driver improvements.

You can increase the sampling rate of PS/2 mice in Windows 98 to make them smoother.

so big question, outside of the case and psu does this look like something from 1998-1999 to yall?

The pictures looks like they were taken in 1998, you are capturing the blurry gray mood perfectly.

Nice system, Super Socket 7 is very fun to tinker with!

I've got so many TNT2 M64 and GeForce4 MX it's not funny. I found it very hard to find a normal TNT2.

So what else am I missing besides grabbing a voodoo 2 for Glide, a TNT2 so my Ti 500 can go back to my AXP, a bigger Hard Drive.

I thought about maybe buying a K6-3+ to replace the K6-2 as its a little sluggish in 98 but after consideration I dont want to 🤣.

Try uping the bus frequency. It can make a world of a deference for both usb and ps/s mice.

So a few goodies, I found a few items in the trash, testing them out now, but I'm crossing my fingers

Winfast Geforce 256 DDR

FIC PA-2013 1mb L2 sitting on it made me stop and take a second look, AMD K6-III 333 hoping it all works, may just go ATX and stop the trying to get a PS2 adaptor working 🤣.
