Ok So my Pentium III struggles are ongoing so parts list isn't finalized yet, but the case is sanded and ready for paint, and here is what ive got for now.

Case: Deer (unknown model
GPU: Quadro FX3000 (Will flash to FX5900Ultra)
Audio: Soundblaster Live CT4760
USB 2.0: VIA VT6212L PCI Card
SATA: SIL 3114 PCI Card (will use even with AMD XP If I go that route)

Unknown CPU/RAM/MOBO Combo to use

Intel D815EEA2/PEntium III 1.26/512mb PC133 (If the board will boot the PIII)

SOYO KT600 Dragon Plus/512mb DDR333/Athlon XP 1900+ If the P3 still wont do what I want.

the pictures to start with are the case tore apart, it also has blue transparent doors heavily scratched that I'm going to try plastic headlight restore on.

Case colors are (Metal all the flat dark blue, and the plastic front bezel will be going silver again, except the black insert is going blue as well, instead of silver. I'm also going to paint the metal case inside with silver to cover some imperfections and cancer I've neutralized.

Silver didn't look great, went with Green and Blue instead

The stock Volcano 5 fan annoyed me, I had this fan and its must quieter, but taller. Fun fact I lost the screws when i removed the original fan 6 months ago, the new fan is attached with 2 screws intended to go into drywall anchors 🤣

If your Intel board is the EEA2 U, you should be fine with the Tualatin P3. I am currently running a 1.2ghz P3 in a "U" board with no issues (also did the same thing back in the mid 2000's).

I am looking forward to seeing the custom paint work! Having done this myself, I would strongly recommend using a Rustoleum enamel paint for the larger surfaces: case and panels. It takes longer to dry, but you'll get a much nicer, more even finish. Smaller plastic pieces like face plates are fine with the acrylic paint.

AMD386/IIT387DX40, 32MB, ATi Mach64, AWE64
Compaq Prolinea 4/33, 32MB, Tseng ET4000, SB16
AMD X5, 64MB, S3 Virge/Voodoo1, AWE64
AMD K62+550, 256MB, Voodoo3, AWE64 Gold
P3 1.2Ghz, 512MB, Radeon 7500/Voodoo2 SLI, SB Live!

Its a budget issue, this paint was free, I've got a zero dollar budget on this so I've got stuff I had or was given 🤣.

Well bad news, I was cleaning up the Quadro, and I accidently cracked one of the Ram chips, its now a brick, gotta find another gpu now. To bad I don't have a rework station I'd just get replacement DDR. I do have a 6800GS I can use, but its not going to play well with older games from what I understand, and below that I have a TNT2 Ultra which is to slow so grrr 🤣

Been there, done that, totally understand. Paint work can be fun and challenging. I have two non-computer projects I'm working on and two computers in the pipeline to get painted. Lot's of good info on Youtube!

Too bad about the Quadro 🙁

NICE! 😁 Looking forward to the finished results of the paint job.

When you flash the FX 3000 to 5900 Ultra please post the procedure 😀

I made a recent post about this, you can read Here. Someone actually already flashed a q3000 into a 5900u following the instructions, and I flashed a q1000 into a 5800u.

Shame to hear this.

Im really eager to see the paint job! I have an old Antec case that is prime candidate for painting but I haven't really gotten to it. Your result may be the inspiration I need 😀

Quadro FX3000 (the ram is cracked but it still works fine, I don't understand 🤣)

Dell 250W PSU
Soundblaster Live

Wow! Looks awesome to me, really shiny (that blue case matches the translucent plastic nicely)! 😎
I also like the fact that you installed a ZIP drive.

Not bad! Any plans to paint the face plates on the Zip and cd/dvd drives?
