Can you post a speedsys chart of your 486 / 100 overdrive?
(I'm interested in your cache chart.)

The L2 cache is 256kb of 20ns.
SZ959 -> 16 KB cache. Interesting.
Nice build.
I didn't know you had an account here. Your youtube videos are pretty good...one of the only things I still watch on youtube.

Agree - the king of the old speed-guard.
Just watched Pt 3 of your video, 100% agree re networking is an overlooked god send for majority of builds.
I'll be pointing future newcomers to your video as it makes a nice simple how-to guide covering both superior ftp but the much more fun SMB options.
Just a thought re your NAS. Have you set up a username and password to log into windows and have u replicated that on the NAS? I've had shares not like blank passwords but then have had shares that just don't like dos/3x so neither would surprise me.
Agreed with Anonymous Coward, your YouTube videos are great! I prefer networking as much of my legacy systems as I can so I can avoid sneakernet or floppy emulation as much as possible.
I'll have to pull out my AMD 486DX/4 100 with 16KB L1 to see how it compares to your 8KB CPU if I get a chance. Unfortunately I recently discovered the L2 cache chips do not seem to be working. 🙁

I pulled out my AMD 486DX/4 100MHz system. Here are the specs:
SpeedSys 4.78: 34.52
TopBench 3.8: 188
3DBench 1.0C: 46.3
PC Player: 11.8
Doom Max detail: 2134 gametics in 2950 realtics (don't know how to convert to fps)
Quake timedemo: 8.8 fps
Looks like my system is noticeably slower than yours. 🙁 I really need to figure out the L2 cache problem and correct it.
