The systems i did collect or build over the years. As i did 2022 REshoot of the systems, they are many more and with better phone and background, the pictures will be even better, also i did upgrade many of the systems. Others are still in their old state, but i will upgrade them at some point, as i have alot more HW to play arround these days. All the systems are working fine, only the XT 8088 one need some repairs on the PSU and VGA card. And the socket 7 system the ASUS board decided to brake its BIOS chip or the rom file, and does not post properly anymore. The Compaq AP55- Pro also need spare PSU, as the original one was missing, so i am in the look for one.

Overall some systems are not in its final state, i will replace OSes, remove and add some hardware to make them better.

here is links of the collection, CPUz links and other

SPS Intelle XT

CPU: NEC V20 8088 14MHz, no COcpu
MB: Super Turbo 8088 PC/XT Japan
RAM: 640k mix, Sharp, OKI,
VGA: 8bit CGA Adaptor Japan
Audio: --
LAN: --
HDD: SeaGate ST225 21MB MFM
ODD: --
FDD: Epson SD-621L 360K Japan
PSU: A-Matic 165W
CASE: XT standard case
Cooler: Air
OS: M$ DOS 3.31

The system need CGA adaptor repair, as it shows soem crap on the monitor on places where it suppose to be blank. The machine also does not post every time, so the PSU need caps replacement, or even better to find Seasonic XT PSU. Overall i prefer to replace this system with Zenith data Systems XT 8088.
At some point i got even the original CRT CGA monitor, they did sold these machines with in here.

Compaq DeskPRO 486/33m

CPU: Intel 486 DX 33MHz
MB: Compaq OEM
RAM: Kingston card x2 4MB SIMM
VGA: Compaq QVision 1024 1MB eISA
Audio: Yamaha YMF719E-S
LAN: 3Com Etherlink III combo
HDD: SeaGate Medalist ST3660A 545.5MB IDE

FDD: Panasonic 1.44mb
PSU: Compaq OEM 170W
CASE: Compaq OEM
Cooler: Air
OS: M$ Windows 3.11, M$ DOS 6.20

I am planning for this system nice upgrades.. Replacing this interesting Compaq Qvision card with TSeng ET4000 ISA, moving from this CPU to DX2 66, and adding maximum memory that will be like up to 64MB or more.. As i have AMD 586 CPU 133MHz i can try to install it on this system, and if it works fine to use it, but will prob brake up the compability for DOS games making them too fast will see.. I really like the back of this system it looks like some old school sports car..

IBM PS/2 56 486SLC2 (Machine type 9556)
IBM 9518 Color Monitor

CPU: IBM 486SLC2 50MHz
MB: IBM OEM
RAM: 16MB IBM SIMM 70ns
VGA: IBM XGA-2
Audio: --
LAN: --
HDD: Quantum FireBall tm 1.1 GB
ODD: IBM 4x SCSI CR-504-B
FDD: TEAC 1.44
PSU: IBM OEM
CASE: IBM OEM
Cooler: Air
OS: M$ Windows 95

That system is in original state i did not install anything on it. Did only upgrade the memory tho, as was originally with x2 4MB and x1 8MB, and did stuck at post screen for some reason. Now with x2 identical 8MB sticks it works great. The system is very nice you can tell they did not cheap on materials, great quality, will never yellow as well, but that MCA standart sucks hard, and the system is totally limited 🤣, i can install more memory on a 386 system, wtf IBM......

NCR System 3300

CPU: AMD Am5x86 -P75 133MHz
MB: NCR OEM
RAM: x4 4MB SIMM Kingston + IBM
VGA: NCR 77C22-E
Audio: --
LAN: --
HDD: Conner CFA540S 540MB
ODD: --
FDD: NEC 1.44mb
PSU: Teapo TP331B-2 182w
CASE: NCR OEM
Cooler: fan
OS: --

That machine does not work very well, the PSU is total shit itself on caps side, also the SCSI seems not working for some reason prob the conner did die too..
Will repair the system at some point, or just straight sell/ trade it, as it is MCA standard, and that means it is useless...

IBM PC 365 Dual socket 8

CPU: Intel PentiumPro 200/256
MB: IBM OEM
RAM: x4 32MB EDO DIMM 60ns
VGA: S3 Virge/DX 4MB (Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 Pro)
Audio: --
LAN: Yes NETware PCI
HDD: WD Caviar 22100 2.1GB
ODD: LiteON SOHR-5238S 52x
FDD: Panasonic JU-257A606P
PSU: LiteON PS-5201-61 200W
CASE: IBM OEM
Cooler: stock PP + fan
OS: M$ Windows 98SE

My plans for that system is to find the VRM module fot the second CPU. Next to find x2 PP 200/512 and install them instead. Also to boost the memory to at least x4 128MB EDO DIMM, i have currently x2 128MB EDO DIMM from Compaq Proliant, they fit after little hotfixing of IBM`s BS. When i find these parts i will prob add better videocard or even an Voodoo 1 to that S3 and some nice audio card SB 16 or other...

Socket 7 Mobster system

CPU: Intel Pentium I 233MHz MMX
MB: ASUS SP97-V
RAM: x4 32MB Siemens EDO SIMM 60ns
VGA: S3 Trio64V+ 2MB Hercules Terminator
Audio: Creative 128 PCI crap edition
LAN: Winbond PCI
HDD: Quantum FireBall ST 2.5GB
ODD: TEAC 52x Writer
FDD: SONY 1.44mb
PSU: Lite ON 250W
CASE: AT from the old days
Cooler: Spire s7
OS: M$ Windows 95

That crap ASUS board decided one day when i was testing some new HW on it, to crap its BIOS, so now it gives BIOS rom error... Guess i will replace it with AOpen AP5T, or fix at some point the bios file/ chip.. FK asus man i hate that brand it just likes to fk up all the time, no matter the socket/ platform it is... Aside from that i may add Voodoo Rush to that system and ofc better audio card.
I am thinking to replace the case with this CM case, to make sleeper PC, but will see, as the I/O are only 4 on this and that SUCKs....

Compaq DeskPRO EN GTO
(custom made, i did gut out the crap inside and replace it with better parts)

CPU: Intel Pentium II 450MHz
MB: GIGAbyte BX2000
RAM: x3 128MB Micron PC133
VGA: nVIDIA Riva TNT II Pro 32MB

FDD: Citizen ZIDE-48A 1.44mb
PSU: Compaq 145W DPS-200PB-89D
CASE: Compaq OEM
Cooler: Box passive
OS: M$ Windows XP SP2

My plans for this system is to upgrade to 3Dfx Voodoo 3 2000, install one more stick of memory for total of 512MB, install windows 98SE, and maybe to add Aureal VorteX/ VorteX II card for A3D.

IBM dual V8 machine Death Star
Wellcome to the dark side.....
(did gut also this it was 423 system inside, and replace it with this)

CPU: x2 Intel Pentium III 1.4GHz-S
MB: AOpen DX34R-U dual 370
RAM: x2 512MB HyniX PC133 ECC
VGA: 3Dfx Voodoo V 5500 64MB AGP
Audio: Creative Audigy SB0090
LAN: Linksys WMP54G, Intel Pro NIC 10/100 TX PCI
HDD: Maxtor 200GB DiamondMax 9+
ODD: LG GSA-H44N DvD RW
FDD: SONY 1.44mb
PSU: ACBel APIOWS04 340W
CASE: IBM IntelliStation Pro M
Cooler: x2 Titan for socket 462
OS: M$ Windows XP SP3

I think to install Windows 2000 on this one, as 98 does not support dual processor systems. Add Aureal VorteX II card, find x2 more HyniX of these exact modules to upgrade to the max of 2GB. To replace this exact mobo with the same one, but in perfect condition, as this one is not, there was few spots that the paint from the PCB was off hard time, and the previous moron owner did install one time on the second mem slot the SDram on the wrong direction, that did result in blown up pin on the memory slot. I plan to replace the Titan coolers with Cooler Master Jet 7+, but need to find second Jet 7, as i have only 1 so far..

AMD K7 Armored Interceptor+

CPU: AMD AthlonXP 3800+ (Mobile Barton 2600+)
MB: ABIT NF7-S V2

FDD: --
PSU: EnermaX Liberty 400W modular
CASE: HP XW 9300
Cooler: ThermalTake Sonic Tower
OS: M$ Windows XP SP3

This system is complete, the only thing i am really looking for that is platinum Mobile CPU that can OC up to 2.7GHz.. And i will maybe replace the case at some point.. And maybe to add WD Raptor HDD for the OS.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Socket 939 Dodge Charger R/T edition

CPU: AMD Opteron64 165 2.7GHz
MB: DFI LanParty UT NF4 Ultra-D

FDD:--
PSU: ThermalTake Pure Power 480W Xaser
CASE: Cooler Master Elite 330 MOD, Dodge Charge R/T
Cooler: Zalman CNPS7000B-CU Flower
OS: M$ Windows 7 Ultimate

The system is disbanded, BUT i plan to rebuild socket 939 again, as that platform is just so good.. Also i got better parts, very high end mobo MSI K9 Diamond also ATi Radeon 1950XTX CF edition. And i have superiour case SilverStone TJ07 for it.. Still dont have better CPU like Opteron 185/ 190 oe Athlon 64 FX dual core, but in the future maybe..

Intel Speed Demon x58
(fast and dirt cheap)

CPU: Intel Xeon W3680 4.5GHz (same as I7 980x EE)
MB: GIGAbyte GA-X58A-UD7 rev 2.0
RAM: x3 4GB DDR3 G. Skill Sniper 1600
VGA: AMD Radeon R9 280x Sapphire Toxic
Audio: Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music SB0460
LAN: x2 Realtek RTL8111D, TL-WN781ND
HDD: 120GB Samsung 850 Evo, 400GB WD Caviar, 1TB SeaGate
ODD: LG-GH24NS95-M 24x
FDD: --
PSU: Corsair HX Professional 750W Silver
CASE: Corsair Graphite 600T SE
Cooler: ThermalRight Silver Arrow Extreme
OS: M$ Windows 7 x64 Ultrimate

This system is fast and VERY cheap die to the fact i did spend total of 120 euros for the whole machine and that is NUTs... ( but i did get Voodoo V 5500 for 25 euro as well so...)
The system is 80% of high end parts, only the storage, the case and memory are not high end, everything else is. I plan to find the shroud with the fans for that Toxic card, to upgrade the case to some insane SilverStone case, to change the memory to the same amount, but way faster, as there are CL7 kits with the same 1600 speed...

Compaq AP550 Pro

CPU: x2 Intel Pentium III 1GHz
MB: Intel OEM Compaq
RAM: x4 256MB Samsung RAMbus
VGA: --
Audio: Premier Sound
LAN: Intel
HDD: Fujitsu Enterprise MAJ3182MP 18.2 GB
ODD: LG DVD RW
FDD: Citizen 1.4mb
PSU: dead
CASE: Compaq OEM
Cooler: stock
OS: --

The system needs its original PSU as Compaq was nasty here and did use some OEM crap PSU that have 20 + 6 pins, that is the first system i see to utilize 6 pin power plug for the CPUs 🤣... All other vintage systems are with 4 pin plug, or the newe 4+4... So cant use the system, die to that crap Compaq did pull... Aside from the PSU tha system seems very well preserved, the case is also bad, will be replaced...

Portable machines

Compaq Armada E500

CPU: Intel Pentium III 700MHz
RAM: x2 128MB Kingston SDram
VGA: ATi Rage Mobility P 8MB
Audio: ESS Maestro
HDD: WD Scorpio 80GB IDE
OS: M$ Windows XP SP3

This machine is my portable NES 8 bit station, i have up and running NES emulator on it, and works great with 8 bit NES games, also it have Yu Gi Oh card game that is fun to play. Also the system is very well preserved same as the Contura 486 from the same owner, it is like brand new. There is sadly only 1 line on the screen from the matrix, but is on the end of the screen on the right side, so is annoying, but with time i managed not to see it anymore i dont think there is fix to that, unless to change the whole matrix.. I plan to find compatible SDram as i want full 512MB size as that is the maximum, but cant find so far x2 256MB sticks... Still the current storage and memory of the system is ALOT more then what it did have originally.. That was 12GB IBM HDD and only stick of 128MB memory...

Compaq Armada 1700

CPU: Intel Pentium II 233MHz
RAM: 128MB Kingston SDram
VGA: CHIPS 65555 2MB
Audio: ESS ES1869
HDD: IBM 10GB IDE
OS: M$ Windows XP

The system works like a charm, it was dirty and nasty, but did clean it up. Sadly the cosmetic state of this machine is not what i will like it to be.. The battery did even last up to 1 hour of workuse, and that was damn impressive.... Really want to replace this system with the same one, or even IBM ThinkPad with Pentium II, for the sake of having an IBM from these years..

Compaq Contura Aero 4/33C

CPU: Intel i486SX-S
RAM: 8MB SIMM
HDD: 250MB Quantum Daytona
OS: M$ Windows 3.1/ DOS

This machine needs repairs, the screen is messed up and is visible only at 100% brightness, also the track ball does not work.. Aside from that it is very well preserved. The previous owner was very good at preserving things.

Optional systems to do..

I have in mind doing whole 386 system, but there is no space to store extra systems, so for now is only idea.. Also need to find one great CRT monitor prob SONY trinitron, as they seems to be the best or maybe EIZO, and have that for all retro systems below pentium 4 class ones.

Now to add some bonus pictures, as i will create new post for every system, as i want to upload them on the forum, as everyone knows when uploading to image sharing site, at some point the pictures go to hell, and i dont want that to be the case.... Pictures of my main system, cuz dont know what to upload for the main post, as the systems are too much, and the limitation of the forum is 4 pictures only... I have ofc parts to build at least 20-30 more computers...

Bonus system
HP GTO II MOD Race car Ford Escort RS1800 MK II...

(this system was disbanded some time ago, now the IBM DeathStar takes its place)

http://valid.x86.fr/rd0y5f

CPU: Intel Pentium III 800MHz> 1GHz
MB: ABIT BE6-II
RAM: x3 256MB Micron SDram PC133
VGA: nVIDIA GEforce 2 MX400
Audio: Creative SB AWE64 Value CT4520
LAN: Intel Pro NIC 10/100 TX PCI
HDD: SeaGate 20GB 5400 20GB + SeaGate Barracuda 80GB IDE
ODD: TEAC 52x Writer, LG DVD RW
FDD: Samsung...
PSU: HP OEM Delta
CASE: HP Vectra VE OEM
Cooler: ThermalTake
OS: M$ Windows XP

Still have the case tho, with the HDD inside, PSU, and the opticals. Sold the mobo long time ago, that made me to disband the system. I have now again ABIT BE6-II in better shape then the previous one.. Not much space to store that system
too...

Bonus system
Compaq PROlinea 4/50

(i dont consider this system in the main collection, die to being not interesting to me + the state of the case is a bit miserable, compared to my DeskPRO system. I will sell/ trade that PROlinea for something i like)

CPU: Intel 486 DX2 50MHz
MB: Compaq OEM
RAM: 24MB SIMM Toshiba
VGA: TSeng ET4000 1MB
Audio: Creative CT4180 Vibra 16
LAN: HP HP27247B-Adapter
HDD: Maxtor 2.1gb 82100E3
ODD: SONY 32x CD
FDD: SONY 1.44MB 3.5"
PSU: Compaq 200W AT PA-4151-9C
CASE: Compaq OEM
Cooler: stock 486
OS: --

The fate of this system is to be replaced with for example Compaq SystemPRO, some IBM or for example HP Vectra Pentium Pro series or something else... I am big Compaq fanboy, but i hate systems and parts in poor state, the life is too short, to save for myself stuff not in best condition, the storage space is also limited....

Nice stuff!
And a lot of pics too! 😀

Well made a thread to showOFF after all these systems need to be showed somewhere... Do u like any particular system from these, or do you dislike one or more.. Any advices or something that did bother when u did look at them.. I am looking for second opinion just for the sake of having more then mine. Ofc many pictures is a must, after all when do something do it right...

I really really like these days the IBM DeatStar dual tualatin system as is dual CPU, dual GPU.. Only thing i need to improve as HW is adding something more badass of coolers as these are Titan, and replace the intake and exaust case fans, as they are crap... But these coolers and fans are from when this system was just builded in the case, need also x2 more sticks of these HyniX...

I like it the way it is.
At some point or another we all like to share what we do.

Everything is pretty much super clean 😀
Looking new.

Is it the style of the case that doesn't interest you? Or it's condition?

I've always liked the cakebox style, I have several of them. Then it seems everything went to towers after my 486's.

Nice collection!
