I'm trying this out today and should release a new track in the next few days, a kind of transcription from a piece written in Studio Session (1986) for the Macintosh. I needed quarter note triplets, which wasn't too hard to accomplish by laying out my eights notes in a larger space and increasing the tempo (lowering the speed/delay number in the tracker), but then I ran into sixteenth triplets...forcing me to push the strategy even further. I need 2 full patterns ( or blocks? IIRC) per 4:4 bar (!!!)

I still play with the tracker on my old PC, even after 16 years, I would like to see what anyone managed to make with it 😀 If you are still around, would you mind sharing your piece of music?
As for the triplets, I dont think I would have been able to solve that even back when I was creating it, lacking the knowledge of musical theory. I usually do it like you say, work with the tempo.
