When I launch the MT-32 version of DOSBox I get a loud screech untill a game sends its sysex commands to the emulator. When it receives this data it will stop and then behave like it should. What might be causing this?

By the way, after comparing your emulator against my real MT-32 with some Sierra games, I am impressed. It is getting closer than ever. Nice work.

It's because SB & Adlib emu send their data to midi device, which is mt32 by default.
I thing midi.cpp should be changed to allow more midi devices at the same time and then route port 330 (MPU401) to mt32 and the rest to default system midi device.
