Well, alright. I got DosBox because apparently thats what I had needed to play The Elder Scrolls: Arena, according to the official site. So, I downloaded both the game (which they released for free) and DosBox. I started it up, and it was...excruciatingly slow. Like, not just a bit slow, but like, to move the view left in the dungeon, you must hold left, until it lags its way there. As in, literally taking five minutes to get past the opening screen.
Now, before you say "your computer is too slow", Arena CAN run from the .exe with a bit of work, and then it runs too fast. So, I download MoSlow, and I can either get it to go way too slow or way too fast. And according to the official Elder Scrolls site, I can only play Arena properly with a) windows 3.2 or b) DosBox, and it's becoming increasingly evident that they are correct. And yes, I've tried using F8 and F12, and it's actually just made things choppier.
Any ideas? I'd REALLY like to play Arena, and a few select other games.
