so yea im a big nub, so don't worry about flaming.

but im having that ultra-common keyboard error where i can't type my "\" in .72, i read the faq and other help threads and i know i need to get the keyb binary and layouts... except the link on the freedos project website is broken... after hitting up google i still couldn't find anything... so.. does anyone know where to get these?

btw i'm using an HP keyboard here in the US.. qwerty and everything, is there a possibility that i'm just so noob that i don't know what thats called in the dosbox command line?

*shrug*

From FAQ

* DOSBox 0.70 has a keyboardlayout parameter in its conf file that can be set to the keyboard layout you would else use with keyb. If DOSBox returns with "Error loading keyboard layout XX", then you'll have to download the sys files from the FreeDOS site, see the previous answer to this question, and add those to the DOSBox directory.

The freedos website isn't down though it is just slow at times.

Erik.

Program files, executables, sources, etc:

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/fre … /keyb/old/keyb/

Keyboard layouts:

http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/fre … /keyb/kblayout/

I have this in my DOSBox autoexec section:

@mount X "C:\Program\DOSBox-0.72"
@X:KEYB.EXE SV,,X:KEYBOARD.SYS
@mount -u X
