Okay, I've seen a LOT of threads about composite but they never touch on what I am trying to find out.

I see all these composite screenshots. Are those REAL or emulated?
(meaning did someone capture/take with camera a pic of a tv or is it an in dosbox screenshot dump?)

I ask this b/c I have Bard's Tale and KQ1 which both do the greyscale looking (in RGB/CGA/VGA) composite mode (my guess is 320x200) but I want the cool colors. Do I have to get a graphics adapter with a TV out and hook it all up or can Dosbox emulate this display?

I saw a post where someone was asking this exact question ("What's the key to activate composite mode") and they mistook his question on how to activate composite on the game. (i.e. go to GAME setup or options and select composite as your choice of display) I don't think he was asking that.

I think he was asking what I am. Is there some emulation of a composite TV output in DosBox. Why I am confused is b/c there are several conversations held as if that's the case. (although they also make it seem like you have to have a specific CVS buil to do this)

now did this person connect to a TV or what?

Thanks for the patience and I did look long and hard before posting this as to avoid redundancy. The special keys area didn't list anything and I didn't see a straight out instruction manual with command line arguments.
If I have to go real instead of virtual, it probably makes the most sense to dig up the 5150 and hook it up to a tv using a real genuine 8086 and RGB/Composite combo card. (Plus then I can boot the booters and no emu. although I get enjoy the pain in the rear on newer games like the rex nebular era with the whole sound debochle.)
