Hello everyone,

I installed DosBox (under Windows xp Home SP 3) in order to run two old Dos games. It worked three times without any problem. At the fourth time, when I press Alt-Enter, I got briefly a black screen and immediately after, a window, very briefly too, saying "Could not set fullscreen video mode 640x400-8, DDraw created surface with wrong size".

Could someone tell me where could be the problem? Don't hesitate to ask me any needed additional info about my system, my configuration...

Have you tried rebooting? Selecting different output settings in dosbox.conf?

I confirm: it's solved!!! I'm so happy!!! 😀 😀 I was trying to play the game Electro Body for years and years, it already was a problematical stuff under Windows 98 (the game is made either for Dos or for Windows 3.1 or 3.11) and today I feel sure to can play it as often as I want!

Thank you so much! 😀 (I so often noticed rebooting didn't help to anything that I forgot to try in this case)...

Oh, sorry, you're right! Wel, nog eens hartelijk bedankt (sorry, ik doe mijn best in het Engels en in het Nederlands, ik ben wel belg, maar franstalig)...
