Hi everyone

I just downloaded DosBox to play UFO on (amongst others) but I'm having trouble with the full screen mode. When I select full screen either through the d-fend frontend, or through changing the dosbox.conf (I change fullscreen to 'true' and set the resolution to 1024x768), DOSBox opens as full screen but the right hand side of the screen goes out the side, and I can't figure out why!

If I change the resolution to 800x600 I get the full screen in the middle, but it's surrounded by thick black borders, so isn't really full screen, if I'm making any sense!

Can anyone think how I could get the program to open up using literally my full screen without the right hand side getting chopped off?

Cheers for any help!

You could try different output= methods.

Or you could try a trick: set fullresolution=0x0

Hi, thanks for the replies.

I didn't know what native resolution meant, but doing an internet search it appears to be the max resolution I can set my screen to, is that right? In my case this is 1440x900.

The 0x0 trick didn't work unfortunately, but thanks for the reply. 😀

Is that 1440x900 for the physical display, or your graphics card?

How much of the right hand side goes 'out the side' in terms of pixels? And did you use the auto-adjust option of your monitor?

Sounds similar to an issue I had with Ripper. Try S3VBE mentioned in this topic.
