Is it possible to use dosbox without X11 to run text-based DOS exe programs?

I have a few text-based DOS programs that I'd like to be able to run on my linux PC without having to launch the X Window server. That way, I could access them remotely via SSH.

Is there a way to do this?

probably not. You could see what kind of outputs libsdl supports. DOSBox uses that.

Yes, you can use dosemu without the X-Window-System.
