Hi,
can't say much about the new release.
I just see the new logo, then dosbox stops
and i get a message "illegal instruction" on
the console.
Thats all, no more messages or hints.
This is archlinux, 0.72 was running fine.
Download again?

i'm going to compile it on my box at home which is
slackware and gcc-4.3.3. hope its not that archlinux
gcc 4.4.0 . This is a just a little box at work,
since dosbox .72 was building and running fine i
did'nt expect problems.
thanks for looking at this.
the source was tested on a lot of version of GCC. and the pentium III shouldn't bring any problems either.
Let's wait what your 4.3.3 compiler does before jumping to conclusions

runs on slackware/gcc-4.3.3.
Very nice.
Less CPU consumption.
Tried some random games just out of curiousity:
Aces of the Deep is running now 😀 (was hanging
after a few minutes in the old release).
Laura Bow 2 Intro hangs (but game is still responding,
pressing ESC will let you start the game). No real
issue, just to mention that.
