I have a new feature I'd like to request for DOXBox: Sound Blaster AWE32/AWE64 support. I've been playing Duke Nukem 3D lately. I've played it on DOSBox, and I've played it on an old 486 machine I had lying around that has an AWE64 card in it. The music is mediocre in DOSBox (if only because it emulates a plain Sound Blaster 16), but with an AWE64, the music ROCKS! I'd also like to second the request for save-states (I'm sure everybody on this forum has been requesting this one since the dawn of time 😉 )

Not a DOSBox problem.

If your using General MIDI then it's outputted by your host sound card. You'll need to use a software synth to get better quality:

Recommend a MIDI soft synth

and if your playing Duke Nukem 3D you should be using EDuke32 anyway.

Wow, thanks! I knew that updated versions of Heretic, Hexen, and Doom were made, but I didn't know about this one. I'm downloading it right now.

I look into what you suggested for the audio.

Thanks again!
