I've solved installing a DOSBox frontend...

maybe that mirror has a broken installer. wich one did you tried?

Just tried, Sourceforge picked this one http://garr.dl.sourceforge.net/project/dosbox … 2-installer.exe and it's corrupted. Someone should try to check all mirrors.

Google search turned up other people complaining about that garr mirror and corrupted files on it.

Looks like Sourceforge is broken, whatever mirror I pick, it downloads from garr mirror. Can anybody else try?

With link provided by Sourceforge when picking different mirror it doesn't use that mirror and instead downloads from garr:

But if I change link to:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/dosbox/files/ … ?use_mirror=dfn

It proprely uses selected mirror and downloads from:

http://dfn.dl.sourceforge.net/project/dosbox/ … 2-installer.exe

This one works.

It works perfectly fine for me using Opera 9.64. I chose a server from France and the download was correct.

Using Firefox 3.5.2 here, and IE8 crashes when trying to download from Sourceforge, 🤣.

Is firefox also failing on Sourceforge?. That's strange. Have you tried forcing DOC_Check_Frequency to always = 1 (default = 3 {when document expires})

You must enter that value from about:config

Tried SeaMonkey 1.1.17 and IE 8 from different mirrors. It works fine on both of them too, even if IE 8 was complaining about errors on the page. this time, I chose two different mirrors in Switzerland.

PS - Forgot to say I am using Proxomitron, but I doubt that's an issue.

I changed frequency to 1 and it still doesn't download from selected mirror unless I manually change the link and remove mirror name after ,
Really strange.

Edit:
It works even when I pick mirror and remove "?use_mirror=" part of the new link. Then it downloads from selected mirror.

I am getting quite a few emails about it and I've filed a report at the sourceforge website about it.

I've logged into garr, dfn & our origin server for small sample. The
md5sum for DOSBox0.73-win32-installer.exe is the same for all the
machines.

If someone experiences an invalid checksum again, they not only log a
ticket; during business hours, they can hop on IRC and have us check right
then for invalid checksums right away. Our

We will continue to look into the download redirect issue added onto the
