Installing Windows 3.11 with it, you see, and I'm trying to determine which S3 driver is most recommended for it. I see Trio32, Trio64, Trio64V2 etc but have no clue which ones to avoid or what.

Is there some list somewhere detailing the graphics chipsets DOSBox supports?

That still doesn't really answer the question. I grabbed some S3 drivers and found which ones work best by trial-and-error (don't remember which unfortunately). It'd be nice to know exactly what DOSBox is trying to emulate and not just "go here to get something that works".

The chip ID is 86C764, or S3 Trio64[nothing].

When working on it however I used the 864 and Trio64V+ drivers in Win3.11 for tests.

Well, I've discovered that Trio64V2 can allow 16mil colours at 1024x768 resolution. Only problem is Win3.1 complains of not having enough video memory to display this. Is it still possible to adjust video memory in 0.73 and current CVS builds?
