Hi All,
I use DosBox for games etc and it works very well.
But I have another use. I need to emulate a 286 processor.
It is important that it emulates down to instruction set level (needed for some machine code development/migration). When ever I do a search, I get pointed to DosBox. Thing is I thought that it only emulates 386 and above?
Can anyone clarify? recommend an emulator?

DOSBox emulates up to some Pentium instructions. Have you had a look at Bochs yet?

Try MESS, it emulates loads of systems, including the ibm pc/at (with 286 et al.)

You are 199k RAM short of having enough memory.
