Would it make sense to require users on the next official release of DOSBox to email us with their current sound settings/sound card/alsa/oss or pulse and then email to us?

dunno if mailing us is the solution.
Problem seem all to originate from people using pulse audio in combination with libsdl in combination with dosbox.
as dosbox + sdl works fine on windows and with non-pulse audio combinations. I am inclined to think that the problem is not entirely ours to solve.
