Did you guys see this Slashdot post? Did the DOSBox team hire a PR person without telling us? (;

Anyway, I sincerely hope this post doesn't backfire on us. For once, the emulation is far from being complete AFAIK. And then there's the fact that we had the GLIDE wrapper for ages, thanks to Gulikoza's (I presume, he's the one who pops up all the time when the subject is "GLIDE wrapper") hard work. Oh, and there's also the question if the emulation ever/soon makes it into "mainstream" DOSBox.

Heh, thanks to that slashdot thing, the most popular hardware news site in Sweden, Sweclockers, wrote about it too. And they never written about DOSBox in the past.

I thought the big deal would be that this would finally allow for DirectX acceleration in the entirely unsupported don't try to run it no not that Windows 95. I mean, does it really matter all that much that it will save you from some momentary fiddling with Glide wrappers?

Yes, it does. Especially with glide wrappers giving different results a built-in glide is much more useful.
And eventully it would help on running Windows 95 with glid eon Dosbox... Eventually 😀

offtopic but 🤣, there's a mild demand for PowerVR emulation in the comments and some reminiscing its Tomb Raider port.
