Are there any Frontends that allow you to set it up so each individual game can have a certain CPU Cycle you decide upon startup?

Don't know- I don't think DosShell has it. What I mean is, to set DIFFERENT CPU Cycles for each game.

Will do- thanks for the tip, and sorry for the somewhat basic question.

And also, LOTS of thanks for making DOSbox itself, man! a way to relive nostalgia and discover amazing games you missed out on as a kid is definitely a great experience. I'll be sure to throw some money your way sometime.

if you must use DosShell (or similar), just create DOSBox-specific batch files for your games... these could include a 'cycles' command which DOSBox would recognize.

e.g.:
cycles fixed 6000
cycles auto
