Hello,

how can I use Software, that uses ANSI.SYS? With DOS the ANSI.SYS Driver has been started via config.sys.

Is there any support for ANSI codes included in DOSBOX or has a separate ANSI.SYS driver to be installed?

Which driver should be used and how is it done?

With many regards

Back in time, I had some PC World utility called ANSI.COM that could be loaded in DOS prompt. Maybe you could still find it.

Hello Zup,

first a good new year! 😀 Thank a lot for your suggestion. I've found ANSI.COM at

http://www.robvanderwoude.com/batutils.php

and I will try it later.

Many greetings

P.S. Your nickname reminds me of the ZUP in the Artemis Fowl Books from Eoin Colfer 😉

Hello Qbix,

a happy new year too! Thank you for the information. It's great that Dosbox has a builtin ansi support now.

Some time ago I've tryed a program written in C that used ansi display codes with a former version of dosbox and the output had not been correct.

Many thanks to the developers for including the ansi support 😁

With many greetings
