Hi--this is my first post here. 😀 I hope this is the right section!

I'm using OSX 10.6.8 with a mac keyboard bought Nov. 2011--it's very flat, has F19.

The control keys don't work in DOSBox. Ctrl is essential for my intended use. I thought keymapper feature might fix this but without ctrl I can't access this to find out. I found a reference to a command for this, and tried various forms of it at the prompt, but it didn't do anything.

Any suggestions? I am not a programmer 🙁 but happy to do my best.

thank you very much

You are using the apple keyboard or some keyboard for the mac?
The keymapper is accessed differently on the mac. I think the readme has that listed.

Hello thanks very much for responses!

I did try the command+ctrl before on the apple keyboard and some other combinations, too wth.

Now I have tried it on 2 old PS2 microsoft and Fellowes keyboards. It does work on those, so that's great! tho switching out keyboards every time is not my first choice I can live with it.

I was able then to look at the keymapper but no idea how to use it/what to do 🙁 is it even pertinent?

I also tried , in DOSBox preferences, changing keyboardlayout=auto to =us103 and =ux103. No change on the apple keyboard.

thanks again

yes, thanks, apple keyboard purchased with new iMac.

I looked at the Keyboard Layout section of README. I am in USA--using English--I didn't see anything helpful here at least not that I understood. 🙁

Thanks!

i thinks its a better idea to remap the keys all over to match the mac keyboard as best as possible.
I'll do the same.
