I'm trying to install an old dos game, but it wouldn't have it. As part of the installation, it performed a number of tests, but some came back with "error". Among those was the CD-Rom transfer rate. It said:
"The transfer rate of your CD-ROM drive is too slow. The game requires a CD-ROM drive with at least a 300 kb/second sustained transfer rate to run. You will need to upgrade your CD-ROM drive to this transfer rate in order to play the game."
I tried copying the CD contents to the hard drive and installing from there, but the result was the same.
How do I get around this?
Many thanks.
