Hello!

Sorry if this is already answered somewhere - I couldn't find it in the documentation or by searching.

A question about scaling: can I somehow set it on the fly, e.g. via a shortcut key?

I know how scalers work using the command line, but it seems to revert back to 1x whenever a game does something to the screen (changes video mode or whatever). For example, a game can start just fine and display its intro video in 3x like I've set the config file up, but when the intro ends and it's time to go to the main menu, the scaling stops.

Windows display zoom feature probably does help, but I'd rather use dosbox scaling if possible. And I don't have good enough eyes to play a 320x200 game on a 2540x1440 monitor. :p

ykhwong's enhanced SVN build includes a pulldown menu interface to change things like that on the fly.

However what you're describing sounds weird... scaler settings are retained across video mode changes - it should only drop back to 1x if the new mode is too large to for any scaler to fit (certainly can't be the case with 320x200 vs. your monitor's resolution).

so you should probably play with the output and resolution settings, see that they make sense and/or post your relevant config file sections here.

I'll look into the build you mentioned. Thanks for the tip!

(The game I was playing at this time was Stunts, and the copy protection bypass screen was scaled while the game was not - I've had similar issues with other games in the past though.)

(P.S. It's released as freeware nowadays in case the mention about bypassing the copy protection rubbed someone the wrong way :p )

In some cases copy protection and the game itself are separate programs, can this happen to be an issue?
