Hi there,

I want to make dosbox play games in black and white as I played them on my apple mac classic II when i was a kid for the sake of nostalgia.

I'm guessing that you can either change the video mode from VGA to something else or use a pixal shader maybe

Perhaps you should play those games with a mac emulator. Otherwise try the Hercules graphics mode.

I'm pretty sure I tried the Hercules one and it ended up being yellow or something.

I remember playing Commodore 64 disks in orange monochrome. Everything was eternally Halloween, kinda creepy when I think back on it.

yea, I remember that.

I hated that monochrome color.
It was hard on the eyes man.

You're talking about DOS games to run in black & white? From the time you're talking (Macintosh Classic), there was the application SoftPC, which converted the graphics from original color to Macintosh Classic black & white screen.

Uninvited is pretty cool when you play it in monochrome! Also, the Windows 3.1 version of Shadowgate and Balance of Power.

Nice, what I want to play is Space Quest II in B&W

brings back so many fond memories.

I still have the original disks but they're corrupt naturally.

I still have the comic that came with it though.

if you get yellow hit F11 once or twice. Machine=hercules lets you cycle through green, amber, or white monochrome shades.

It starts out white, though, you have to press F11 to switch to something else in the first place...
