Hi guys,

This may have been covered already elsewhere but I cannot find it, so my apologies if my question has already been tackled.

I love the DOSBox interface, but I would really like to have the features that were included in real DOS, like the EDIT software for example. I know I can do this by actually installing MS-DOS, but I would rather not do that as I prefer the benefits of DOSBox to actual MS-DOS.

I have all the files that come with DOS (like EDIT.EXE, for example) so I can technically still use them, but how can I make it stay in memory so I can execute the program in any directory like I used to be able to in real DOS?

Thanks for your help!

Put them in some folder, mount that folder as y:, append PATH to include y: ( all this in the autoexec section of the dosbox config)
