As threads in "DOSBox Guides" section are closed for new posts, so it needs a separate theme for fixes and suggestions. Then authors of guides may read and use something from it. Private messaging is worse as messages may don't remain (unlike in forum), authors may forget, may retire, may postpone checking and editing of a guide for a indeterminate time.

Installation of Audio CD driver

To use this feature in DOSBox with virtual CD drive, you need to have enabled digital CD audio playback for this drive in Device Manager of host OS. And you need to assign a letter for CD drive in DOSBox.
Then in Windows 3.x:
1) Open: Main -> Control Panel -> Drivers
2) Add: "[MCI] CD Audio"
It will ask for an installation floppy with mcicda.drv
You may either mount this floppy as disk A: or point a folder with mcicda.drv (files from installation disks may to be decompressed by: "expand.exe mcicda.dr_ mcicda.drv").
3) It will say: "One CDROM drive was detected. Installation is complete"
Now you may check does it work on some audio CD by Media Player.
