I have SuSE linux 10.0 and have now tried both the rpm files for SuSE 8.2 and SuSE 9 but neither will install via YaST, they just get to the checking package dependancies stage, no packages are displayed and then clicking finish closes the YaST package manager.

Whats up?

Moe has an experimental build that folds in many interesting patches- it does require several additional libraries that aren't needed normally.

Ykhwong has a Linux build also- not nearly as recent as the Windows build, but it should work nicely enough.

I can't remember if any of the large Suse rpm sites had a newer version of dosbox.

What I did was compile dosbox from source- not a terribly difficult task.

As I mentioned above the DosBox 0.63 RPM worked for me.....even in Yast.

Have you tried installing from the command line using the RPM command? If that doesn't work then something really must be up.

Hi, I recently wrote a guide for installing dosbox on linux. I have only installed on Debian linux, but this should work on most linux distributions. The document shows how to download the source code and compile it. Here's the link to the document:
