A friend of mine has got SCUMMVM running on his PSP by using a hack I don't know. I don't know about DOSBox.

Intel i7 5960X
Gigabye GA-X99-Gaming 5
8 GB DDR4 (2100)
8 GB GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Gigabyte)

Sony makes everything possible to prevent people from programming PSP... So do not expect any officiall version.
Maybe some hackers will do something... But even so you could be screwed up after the next frmware update.

Well, I would buy myself PSP if it enabled user programming (without unrealiable hacks). As it is now, the whole Sony can go to hell with their consoles... 😀

OK after now nearly a Year i would like to ask as well if there is the possibility of a DOSBOX Version for the PSP. since theses days everybody is running homebrew software on their PSPs and we all are using Dark AleX Firmware it would be great to hear some news from you.
In example ScummVM released a Version for the PSP and it runs just great the old Adventures.
So how would it be with a new DOSBOX Ve4rsion for the PSP ????

THIS WOULD BE GREAT and would fill a big GAP in the PSP posibilities !!!!!

Never by the DosBox developers. If it's not supported by Sony then it's not supported by the DosBox devs.

Huh? Why?

DosBox devs only primarily work on Linux/Windows. (Qbix\Harekiet).

The legality of haxoring your PSP is a gray area. DosBox project usually stays out of these issues. Take our stance on abandoware for example.

There is nothing stopping anyone from using the DosBox source for whatever purpose they want to. Just don't expect the developers of DosBox to bother.

If Sony doesn't want homebrew on their system (obviously indicated by more protecitve firmware updates), then they don't support it.

If i understand your Statement correct it means:
IF I WANT A DOSBOX THAT RUNS UNDER WinXP I HAVE TO CONTACT MICROSOFT ?

HUUUHHH !!!???!!!

Check out the ScummVM page they do support Classic Adventures

they are NOT supported from Sony but you can run even DOS Adventures

And by the Way thanks for your detailed answer in my other Thread!!!

I think all what would be necesarry would be a plug in

No, you didn't understand correctly.
Microsoft has no problem with independent software running on their system, Sony on the contrary has - simple as that.

If you think that this is all that is necessary then just go ahead and program one yourself. 😉
