I was trying to run SimCity2000 under DosBox on Ubuntu Edgy and it failed to work. The problem is the music would play fine but the display would blind ascii characters and what not. Am I missing something? I got no errors in the console when I ran DosBox. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've been dieing to play SC2000 for years 😁

What dosbox version are you using, and do other games work?

Believe it or not i just fumbled with the videocard selection and it worked, only problem is it's SO slow, around 5sec delay.

Hm the original version of sc2000 should detect the video adapter
correctly during installation.
Use dosbox 0.65 and set cycles=auto in dosbox.conf, if you're on an x86
pc also try core=dynamic.
