i attempt to record to midi file, but i dont see it in any directory or anythwew?

Check the DOSBox configuration file. It defines a capture directory. The directory must exist before you start DOSBox.

is already defined, but only picture and video goes in there...midi is no where to be seen

MIDI also goes in there. Are you sure you've pressed Ctrl-Alt-F8 to record the MIDI? BTW, this only works for games using General MIDI or Roland etc. It doesn't do anything for games playing music through AdLib/Sound Blaster etc.
