My first post is this. All my games are on 5-1/4 disks. How does one get them usable on modern computers. I do have a functioning 286 with the 2 drives...maybe I can use xcopy for copy to transfer?? Any better ideas?

If your modern PC has a floppy drive connector then a 5 1/4 drive will work fine on it if your BIOS supports it. Windows 2000/XP supports 5 1/4 drives. Don't know about Vista.""
If you have a PC with 5 1/4 drives then you can use the DOS command "diskcopy", assuming your version of MS-DOS has the command.
I wish they made a USB 5.25 disk drive.
I stopped using 5.25 floppy drives on my newer computers in 1995 because they put a nice bottleneck to performance.
My last drives of those are all rusted 🙁

Thanks for info. I had forgotten about diskcopy. Think I will try the old 286 machine...much simpler.
