Hello,

I´m using a wide range of old computers with MS-DOS.

Some use GM cards and others only SB or compatibles.

When I installed DOS-BOX on my ASUS eeepc (with Win XP) I was wondering if i could use the sound card emulation codes used with DOS-BOX with a computer that runs original DOS.

for example: I have an 486 DX/66 with MS-DOS 6.2 and an SB16. When I load the sound card emulation codes as a memory resistance programm, will it be possible to run GM sounds from my SB16 like DOS-BOX does with the AC97 chips on Windows based computers?

thanks for your help

OK, thanks for your help.!

the reason why I asked was that I thought to install MS-DOS on my eeepc (which runs fine when I boot dos from a USB-Stick). But of course there was no possibility to run music or sound in the games. (eeepc uses a sound chip that isn´t sb compatible).

thank god - dos box is around which runs fine on this computer
