Hello,

I'm trying to set up dosbox so that I can have access to the floppy drive on the computer without having to use the mount command every time. I've accomplished this by placing the command "mount a a:\ -t floppy" under the autoexec section of dosbox.conf. The problem with this is if there is no disk in the drive when the program starts, Windows gives me an error. The error presents three options, Cancel; Try Again; and Continue. If I press Continue the error appears again, but if I press it a second and third time the error goes away, Dosbox starts, and when I put a disk in the drive I can access it.

Is there away to mount the drive in the autoexec section without having to get those errors?

P.S. If there is a disk in the drive when I start Dosbox, the error does not occur.

Thanks, Hawks

That happens to real DOS, too. Pretty good emulated, isn't it? 😉
